Just got my PCR test! I will get the results tonight at 2 am via email. The Nazca line tour has been booked and the first three days of the hotel are also booked. After much hesitation, I’ve opted not to give up the apartment. Luckily I found two roommates two days before I am scheduled to depart.
Since the itinerary changed and I might be coming back in between trips it’s best to just keep the apartment in case anything happens. I do plan on staying away for a few months so keeping the apartment makes sense so I have someplace to come back to. I am selling both of my vehicles though, it doesn’t seem feasible to pay insurance for two vehicles if I’m not using them. They recently started having issues that are more costly to fix so there’s no point in keeping or fixing either one. I will be purchasing continuance insurance so when I get back I can just add another vehicle to my policy. I’ll just buy a used car when I get back to run errands.
The only reason I am mentioning these things is for anyone who wants to go ahead and film a documentary like this these are the things you need to think about.
Are you gonna keep your apartment? If not will you put your items in a storage unit or a PODS that can be moved anywhere in 46 states.
Are you going to keep your vehicles?
How long are you going to go for?
Are you booking the whole trip in advance or will you allow room to pivot in case you get information that can benefit the project and choose to add or change a location?
I have opted in this case to book things up to 4 days in advance until I am in the country. I need to make sure I could get in the country first and I don’t require the vaccine. Luckily, the tour guide that I found is amazing and she is booking everything for me and pre-paying everything. I just sent her some money to cover her expenses. This is happening. Get excited.
